Alfre-Dorm

Alfre-dorm is fitting, actually. I'd been in college for 6 years on and off, trying to figure out why, despite my best efforts, I abhorred it and everyone there. Even the good friends I still have, even all the amazing people who call themselves teachers; it never made sense to me how such unique and talented humans could kill their/others' creativity in order to do "the right thing" which either involves passing classes, or grading strictly, etc...it's a shell game, everyone knows it.

Everyone's just gonna use ChatGPT anyway, why are we even pretending schoolwork (coercively designed drudgery/noncreative/anticreative work) should be taken seriously? Why not focus on something critical, like wealth acquisition? Using David Deutsch's definition, wealth is the set of transformations one is capable of causing. This all comes down to knowledge then. The more knowledgable one becomes, the more adeptly they can interface with reality, the more efficiently they can make critical decisions, and one's judgement compounds over time, into a reality more conducive to further enhancing one's understanding.

Confucius elucidates the implications of this:

"The ancients who wished to illustrate illustrious virtue throughout the Kingdom, first ordered well their own states. Wishing to order well their states, they first regulated their families. Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons. Wishing to cultivate their persons, they first rectified their hearts. Wishing to rectify their hearts, they first sought to be sincere in their thoughts. Wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, they first extended to the utmost their knowledge. Such extension of knowledge lay in the investigation of things.

Things being investigated, knowledge became complete. Their knowledge being complete, their thoughts were sincere. Their thoughts being sincere, their hearts were then rectified. Their hearts being rectified, their persons were cultivated. Their persons being cultivated, their families were regulated. Their families being regulated, their states were rightly governed. Their states being rightly governed, the whole kingdom was made tranquil and happy.

From the Son of Heaven down to the mass of the people, all must consider the cultivation of the person the root of everything besides."

Knowledge is an emergent property that is not hierarchical. Its relevance to a wealthy life does not lie solely in between sincerity and curiosity, but everywhere. Important knowledge can be found from the first principles of epistemology's implications in morality, to Charlie Munger's investment in BYD driving further growth of Tesla via increased competition.

Confucius brings up sincerity and curiosity, which are cultivated through one's arisen problem set in life. This is why Andrew Tate says that a man is just a boy who's overcome suffering. That's one example of a problem set. Not to harp on the stereotypical use of the word "problem" since I don't mean to use that word too negatively. That's why I called it a "problem set" prior to that. You can think of it like an equation, since "problems" are always in relationships with other variables.

Curiosity is just a creative use of free will. It arises theoretically speaking, from 0 to 1. It's why art and entrepreneurship are so fascinating. It's someone's specific problem set, with their specific applied judgement and specific knowledge, being used in a completely original way. This is what Tai Lopez means when he says personal brands will take over. And Naval: escape competition through authenticity.

Sincerity is another deeply personal attribute that cannot be created at-will. It arises from knowledge (again) but is not as subtle as curiosity.

All this to say, I'm dropping out for the last time today. I haven't got much time left. I'd rather play while I'm still alive.
