Of Mice and Nerds
Power users abhor inefficiencies. This is why they are single. They must remain streamlined, tossing any social bloat out of the way in order to focus. This approach, though "unbalanced", can be beneficial if one is sincere in their journey towards truth.
Bacon was wrong in his criticism of Aristotle, for bliss alone, begets societal bliss. However, one cannot extradite themselves from the world without first winning the games of life. Wealth is the set of transformations one is capable of causing. And by drinking deeply from the Pierian Spring, one can reap the fun out of these games of life, winning them, becoming artists and mavericks in their respective domains.
The game of efficiency is a game of the mind. One approach is through chording. Interacting with multiple inputs simultaneously and/or consecutively to complete a task, requires not a consistent state of focus, but a consistent lack of distraction. I propose a system of distraction-handling from the field that interacts with computers the most: NER— I mean programmers. Their universal approach of omitting the mouse is novel and inspiring.
I use Windsurf as my IDE to update my site. I'm currently learning to replace it with Alacritty using workflow enhancers like LazyVim, and TMUX. I'll report back later with notes.
Update:
Cancelled research, multiplexers have no foreseeable benefits for navigating a DAW, which is too mouse-dependant. It's inherently a tactile system. We "feel" music more intuitively than we "feel" language. It's faster to infect our subconscious than translating words and phrases into meaning. Maybe that's because of the predictable properties of rhythm, which are easier to pattern-recognize, and therefore interpret.
